Our story

Getting Inspired

One of the stoies that inspired the creation of CMNGD was a leadership course which required our cofounder, Dave, to spend 1 day homeless and beg for $15, this experience forever changed how he viewed poverty & homelessness. Then the Calgary flood hit, both founders were hit hard yet they received an outpouring of support.  Their community neighbours, the homeless shelter never received the same.  Even in emergencies, gross inequities and biases still exist, if anything they become exasperated.  They committed to giving back to the community even more because every day there are thousands of Calgarians in need of housing & additional support of their own.
